IVV sanctioned Year Round Events in Japan

REMINDERS:

• English support is limited and available in just a few of the starting points.
  
• ALL course map is written in Japanese, and ALL course map is shown Geographically.
  
• ALL entry is at starting point. You should start and finish in the operating hours.
  
• There is NO Award (Patch, Badge, Plaque, .....) in Japanese YRE.
  If you want Awards, consider Date Specified Events in Japan.
  
• Entry Fee is 200 Yen.
  Change from 1000 Yen banknote is available, but Foreign Currencies or Any Cheques are NOT accepted.
  
• Payment is specified in each course. Some course you should pay on the beginning to get the "Walking map", some other course you should pay at the end in exchange of the IVV credit stamp.
  
• You have to fill the application (name, address, .....) ONLY if the clerk of starting point asks you to do so.
  
• There is usually no "Walking Box".
  Walking Map or IVV credit stamp is prepared by clerk of starting point upon request.
  Walking Map is pronounced "WOO-WALKING CHEE-ZOO" stress WOO like wood, CHEE is pronounciation of cheese,
  IVV credit stamp is "EYE BUOY BUOY SUE-TAN-POOH" SUE is lady's name and TAN is pronounciation of tanker.
  
• "IVV insert card" is NOT available at YRE starting point.
  If you have along your own IVV insert card, you may use it instead of IVV record books.
• There is NO "question" to proof your walk.
  You may detour part of the course if you wish, or if you are mixed up.
  
• Public Bath starting points operating hours are AFTER 2PM or 3PM in the afternoon.
  Instead, it is open till long after dark.
  
• Public Bath may have different entrance for man and woman.
  Man: 男、殿方 Woman: 女、婦人
  If there is a curtain in front of entrance, and color is seperated, Man is Blue and Woman is Red.
  
• At Public Bath, you can just start and finish walking (without bathing).
  Extra charge of 300 or 400 Yen is needed to bathe if you wish. You need your own towel.
